Budget travel made easy

budgetAre you dreaming of traveling the world? Well it is possible even if you only have a measly budget for your big travel plans. What you can do is start researching more on the different travel spots that you want to visit and just scour the internet for all the information and tips that you can get. Make sure that you also start frequenting online forums for travelers so that you will get first-hand tips and learn from the experiences of other travelers who have been to the places that you are planning to travel to.

Aside from asking them tips on how the best ways to travel on a budget to these places, you can also learn more about the art of budget travel by scouring travel websites, websites of airlines, hotels etc. This way, you will be able to update yourself on possible exclusive online promotions that will help you save on your travel expenses for your trip. Considering that you are on a tight budget, then luxurious accommodations may not be on your agenda anymore so it also won’t hurt for you to start checking out hostels as well. Don’t worry, there are a lot of nice hostels out there – ones that are free from cockroaches and smelly rooms. It will also be a good idea if the hotel or hostel that you choose is near the city central or any mode of public transportation like the subway, monorail, etc. This way you will not have to walk so far or hail a cab just to be able to get from point A to point B, this will also save you more money too.

Efficient Packing For Light Travelling

packingFor people who love to travel, a packing crisis is something they are painfully familiar with.  Either they have forgotten something or they packed too much stuff that they get tired of hauling their luggage.  Even a well seasoned jet setter encounters this dilemma more often than you think.  Packing for travel is an art and a science.  It takes time to mater it and there is a formula to avoid any packing mishaps.

1. Pack only what you need.  Many have been used to the practice of putting all items they assume they will need at some point on the trip.  This is a very common packing blunder.  As soon as you start planning your trip, start a list of essential things that you should bring such as toiletries, weather appropriate clothes, etc.  As you finalize your travel plans, also finalize the list of things that you will need in relation to the length of time you will be gone as well as the frequency of need for those particular things.

2. Start packing days before.  This way, if you have forgotten something, you will have time to check and reorganize your luggage.  Same rule applies to those things you do not need.  Avoid cram packing (packing just before your flight) because this will surely cause you to forget things.

3. Less is more.  It is not enough that you packed all the necessary things.  It is also a must that you put as many things in as fewer luggages as you can.  Try to maximize space to minimize weight and bulk.  Think of all the cash you will save from not paying anything extra for your extra luggage.
